Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding...... Proverbs 3:5

Recently I have  been challenged about faith, and my lack of it at times! God can speak words of hope and encouragement to our spirits, but we can so easily become discouraged by what we see around us. Instead of trusting His voice, we trust our own senses.  And yet the bible makes it clear that faith is very, very important to God.

Why did Jesus put such an emphasis on faith?

Why could He do only a few miracles in his home town because of their lack of faith? (Matthew 13:58)

Why is it impossible to please God without faith? (Hebrews 11:6)

Is it because faith opens our spirits to the realm where God's miraculous operates? And doubt, the tool of Satan, closes it?I've often wondered why God does not make it easier for us to believe by making a more obvious show of His power. That we have faith in Him, and not on what our eyes see must be vital:

 Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

He knows that  we need to be led away from our outward  senses,  out into the realm of His reality.

And faith is the only way in there.
