Romans chapters 7 and 8

We have been saved to become joint heirs with Christ!  Not second class citizens of heaven, but sons and daughters of the King.  We were born in to this kingdom not of flesh and blood but of the spirit and the spirit bears witness to our spirit, crying Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15,16)

God has the master plan and that master plan is to so change us so that we will be joint heirs with Christ, adopted into God’s family, despite our fallen humanity.   He plans that by His power we should be found worthy to be called sons and daughters of God.

We are not supposed to be continually looking inside and struggling with our own humanity.  Christ understands our weaknesses and frailty.  That’s why He came.  He covers our sins and our weaknesses with His blood but only by the miraculous working of the Spirit of God working within us - if we let it - can we be changed.

How much He must love us to have paid such a price to make it possible, and what a glorious plan, completely impossible from a human point of view, and yet nothing is impossible with God!
