God himself, the God of peace, will sanctify you through and through. Your whole spirit, soul and body wii be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
1 Thess 5:24

Ostriches are quite remarkable animals, and they really don't have much to fear. They are the world's largest bird. They have the largest eye of any land animal, so they can spot danger from afar. They are the 2nd fastest land animal on the planet. Only the cheetah is faster, and the cheetah is too small to bring it down. Their long legs are powerful enough to kill a lion or a human with one kick.
They really have it all. No predator could overcome their defensive abilities.
When threatened an Ostrich is able to spot and outrun, outfight and overcome any adversary.

But what does an Ostrich actually do when it spots a predator?
They lie low. Pressing their necks to the ground. I guess that they think that they have great camouflage and are experts at hide and seek. Maybe they think a passing lion will mistake this huge bird for a small bush.
Ostrich numbers have declined drastically.

I wonder how many of us are prone to sticking our heads in the sand when we face danger. Sin and temptation will not just go away. God has given us the ability to overcome temptation. To flee from wickedness and to resist the devil.
If we run to Jesus in our time of trial, we will find that:

God himself, the God of peace, will sanctify you through and through. Your whole spirit, soul and body wii be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
