Thought for the week beginning Sunday 17 August 2013 written by Lorna Speirs

Recently we've been singing the Keith Getty hymn "See what a morning" a lot. The song speaks of resurrection morning and the hope that came to Christ's followers in those days.

The line that speaks to me again and again is in the last verse:

"One with the Father, Ancient of Days

Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty"

This feeling of faith being clothed with certainty - we have the faith to believe that God is working in our lives, that his love and care are always towards us regardless of what circumstances we are going through. Ultimately the victory of Christ in our lives is completely certain and never in doubt. When we trust Christ with everything we know that He works all things out for our good.

Not matter what life may bring, we know that the victory of Christ is a certain.
