2 Corinthians 10:3-4 ' We do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.'

When we face difficulties and temptations in life, we often try to battle on our own to  work out how to overcome them. So often our plans and ideas and efforts will fail. When we are faced with a difficult situation or we give into sin, we might fret over plans to sort the difficulty out or stop ourselves from sinning again, which usually makes us uptight, irritable or distracted (or all three!). Or, if we can't see a way out, we may give way to panic, irrationality and defeat. We can also be consumed by self-pity and take our eyes off the One who is stronger than all our problems and all our enemies.

However, when we hand over everything, the trials, the temptations, and the worries, to our Heavenly Father and stop planning our method of escape, that is when victory will start to come. His weapons work miracles in our lives- from helping us with the most mundane problem to delivering us from  the most terrifying spiritual attacks! Christ did not die and rise again in vain! He defeated all the powers and strongholds of darkness and He gives that victory to us if only we will come, lay our sins and burdens at His feet, and allow Him to fight mightily  on our behalf.
