Girl in the Song by Chrissy Cymbala Toledo

This book is the very honest and compelling account of Chrissy Cymbala Toledo's teenage years and early twenties. She offers an insight into the mind of a young girl, who despite being brought up in a very loving, secure, Christian family still wandered down a road of destruction and heartache. Chrissy writes her story without ever apportioning blame to anyone else for her choices, and this raw openness allows us to ache with her, rejoice with her when she is restored to her parents and Lord, and then marvel with her at how God has blessed her life more abuntantly than she could ever have imagined. Any parents who fear for their children, or anyone who feels they have gone too far away from home will be encouraged by this reminder that God always welcomes back the prodigal child with open arms.
